Flat-Pack Display Tables — A-Level Showcase

This project involved the design and manufacture of flat-pack tables for an A-level exhibition, created to display student work clearly and professionally within a shared showcase environment. The tables were designed to be easy to assemble, transport, and store, responding to practical constraints around space, time, and repeated use.

The design process focused on simplicity, stability, and efficiency, with components sized for flat-packing while maintaining structural integrity once assembled. Prototypes were tested and refined to ensure the tables could be quickly constructed on site and provide a neutral, adaptable platform for a range of displayed work.

This project demonstrates an understanding of design for manufacture and assembly, as well as the role of functional furniture in supporting exhibition and presentation contexts.
